United Kingdom. A Type C Flying Helmet with a Pair of MK VIII Goggles

Acquired together locally, the Type C Flying Helmet is a fine wartime example which is an early internally wired example and still retains its original receivers and wiring loom. The loom retains its original covering although it is clear it has experienced significant use. All the pop studs work as they should and the chin strap is still present. The interior is worn as one would expect with signs of use and the exterior also shows signs of age. A.M. Marked on receiver cups, and appears to have original owners initials faintly written on interior left. Accompanied by set of Goggles Mk VIII, which were introduced in 1943 as an upgrade to earlier less protective models, marked on interior padding, single crack to left secondary lens, otherwise very fine.
