1) An Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders cap badge constructed of white metal, measures 60 mm (w) x 80 mm (h), and in extremely fine condition.

2) A 2nd King Edward’s Horse (the King’s Overseas Dominions Regiment) cap badge constructed of gilded brass, the obverse depicts the names of the Crown-Colonies, dated 1914, measures 45 mm (w) x 58 mm (h), and in extremely fine condition.

3) A Leinster Regiment cap badge, constructed of white metal and gilded brass, the obverse presents the Prince of Wales plumes, motto “ICH DIEN” at the base of a straight edged scroll marked “THE LEINSTER,” and Royal Ducal coronet, measures 39 mm (w) x 40 mm (h), and in very fine condition.

4) A Sunderland Engineers cap badge, constructed of silvered metal, measures 42 mm (w) x 35 mm (h), and in fine condition.

5) A Leicester Police cap badge, the obverse centre features a wyvern (two-legged dragon) circumscribed by “LEICESTER POLICE,” surmounted by a crown, measures 48 mm (w) x 89 mm (h), and in fine condition.

6) A Warwickshire Constabulary helmet badge, constructed of blackened metal, the centre presents the shield of the British Royal Coat of Arms, circumscribed by “WARWICKSHIRE CONSTABULARY,” surrounded by an open-ended wreath of oak leaves, surmounted by the royal crown, measures 49.35 mm (w) x 60.52 mm (h), and in fine condition.

Dr. Goodwin had a successful career as an educator and prominent physician in New York as well as actively serving in both World Wars with the United States Medical Corps. He acted as both President and Vice-President of the Orders and Medals Society of America (OMSA) and is responsible for organizing their first convention in 1960. He maintained further membership with the American Society of Military Collectors, the International Orders Research Society, and the American Numismatic Society.
