In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
A General Service Medal, in silver, full size, rim impressed W/386091 PTE. A.B. RANKINE. WRAC., with MALAYA clasp, light wear, scratches throughout, remains very fine.
A Territorial Force Efficiency Medal, in silver, full size, rim impressed 3299255 PTE. C. GRAY. 6-H.L.I. notable edge bruises, dark patina on reverse, ribbon sewn over cardboard for presentation, near very fine.
Footnote: The Women’s Royal Army Corps provided essential administrative, clerical, and support roles during and after WWII. During the Malayan Emergency, WRAC personnel were posted to Malaya to work in headquarters, signals, intelligence, and logistical support, freeing men for combat duties. Though not in frontline combat, their service in a dangerous theater qualified them for the General Service Medal with clasp “Malaya”, awarded for 28 days or more of qualifying service in the operational area between 16 June 1948 and 31 July 1960.
The Territorial Force Efficiency Medal was instituted in 1908 and continued (as the Territorial Efficiency Medal) until 1930. It was awarded to non-commissioned officers and men of the Territorial Force for long and efficient service. The 6th Battalion Highland Light Infantry was part of the Territorial Army, providing home defense and, during wartime, drafts for overseas service. Many recipients served in both World Wars.
