British War Medal (20846 PTE. A. WILSON. A.& S. HIGHRS.); and and Victory Medal (20846 PTE. A. WILSON. A.& S. HIGHRS.). Naming is officially impressed. Court-mounted to a cardboard frame, edge nicks and contact marks on both, replacement ribbons, near very fine. Accompanied by an Argyle and Sutherland Highlanders Glengarry Badge (in white metal, measuring 60.8 mm (w) x 80.5 mm (h), both lugs intact); along with his Embarkation Permit (dated February 2, 1920, for transport aboard RMT Grampian on February 13th, numbered "42907", with a 45 mm (w) x 60 mm (h) sepia-toned gloss-finished photograph of Wilson pasted in place, printed in black ink on a light blue paper stock, measuring 121 mm (w) x 325 mm (h)); and his Certificate of Discharge from the Naval Forces of Canada (printed in black ink on a moisture-resistant paper, measuring 100 mm (w) x 68 mm (h), tattered and soiled edges).
Footnote: Alexander Wilson was born in 1892 in Glasgow, Scotland. During the First World War, he initially served as a Private (20846) with the Argyle and Sutherland Highlanders, before being transferred to the Labour Corps (382554). Upon the conclusion of the war, he embarked aboard RMT Grampian on February 13, 1920, the destination on his Embarkation Permit not stated. Wilson later immigrated to Canada and served as a Signalman (V-82088) with the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve, enlisting on April 7, 1944 and was discharged upon demobilization at HMCS Star in Hamilton, Ontario, on November 13, 1945.
