A small medal bar, court mounted with horizontal pin on the reverse, with Victory Medal ribbon torn and medal removed:
A British War Medal, in silver, rim impressed 2.LIEUT T.E. DUBERN, minor contact, very fine.
A Victory Medal, in bronze gilt, rim impressed 2.LIEUT T.E. DUBERN, gilt wear and contact marks, ribbon is in tatters and medal is separated from bar, near very fine.
Footnote: Terence Evelyn Du Bern was born on April 20, 1896 in Rangoon. He enlisted as a private in the London Regiment in 1915 and served overseas at Vimy Ridge and Salonika. He was later commissioned as a second lieutenant into the Indian Army, and served with the Anglo-Indian Force from June 1917 onward.
