A medalbar of four swing mounted decorations, horizontal pin on the reverse, comprising:
A 1914-15 Star, in bronze gilt, full size, reverse impressed J.24607 L.H.J. ROBERTS, A.B.R.N., light wear, very fine.
A British War Medal, in silver, rim impressed J.24607 L.H.J. ROBERTS, A.B. R.N., dark patina, light contact, very fine.
A Victory Medal, in bronze gilt, rim impressed J.24607 L.H.J. ROBERTS, A.B. R.N., light contact and areas of gilt loss, very fine.
A Naval Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, in silver, rim impressed J.24607 L.H.J. ROBERTS. P.O.H, M.A.S. CANBERRA, light contact marks, lovely patina, very fine.
Footnote: Leonard Henry Jacob Roberts was born in 1897 in Cromer, Norfolk, UK. He enlisted with the Royal Navy on December 23, 1915, for a 12 year engagement. He began serving on the Granges.
Roberts re-entered the Navy in 1929. He served during the Second World War aboard the HMS Pembroke and the HMS Europa.
