United Kingdom. A First War ‘Boys! Come Along You’re Wanted’ Propaganda Poster

A large lithograph and paper, No. 80, First War propaganda poster, featuring a text prominent page stating “Boys! Come along You’re wanted” in black against a yellow and white background with a soldier’s silhouette on the left side, designed and printed by David Allen & Sons Ltd, Middlesex and published by the Parliamentary Recruiting Committee, measures 75 cm (w) x 54 mm (l), with a reinforced left edge bearing four holes, plain reverse, minor creases and wear to edges, remains in extremely fine condition. 

Footnote: The PRC was the first official propaganda agency in Britain during the war, operating from August 1914 to the end of 1915. This poster was one of many created during a period of voluntary enlistment before conscription was introduced.
