A lot of two medals, consisting of:
1. A Crimea Campaign Medal with Sebastopol Clasp. Instituted December 15th, 1854. Consisting of a round silver medal, suspended from a double-toe clasp suspension with a Sebastopol campaign bar from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a leftward facing effigy of Queen Victoria, circumscribed “Victoria Regina” in capital letters, the reverse depicting a standing Roman warrior about to received a laurel crown from a flying figure of Victoria along with the word “Crimea” inscribed along the left side, unnamed, measuring 35.8 mm in diameter.
2. An Egypt Medal with Suakin Clasp. Instituted October 17th, 1882. A circular silver medal, the obverse depicting the veiled leftward facing depiction of Queen Victoria, circumscribed by her name and title, the reverse depicting a leftward facing Sphinx on a pedestal with the word “Egypt” above, suspended from a double-toe clasp suspension with a “Suakin 1885” campaign bar from a correct modern replacement ribbon, unnamed, measuring 35.9 mm in diameter.
Both medals with contact marks and bruising from age and wear, in overall near very fine condition.
