First belt is fabricated from a thick leather with a smooth finished black upper, smooth finished dark brown underside, very flexible, a tab stitched in place on the underside with a smooth finished dark brown upper on the right end, the tab with eight rows of two holes each for length adjustment, marked in black ink with the initials "E T" on the tab where it is stitched to the body of the belt, the name "Töpfer" inscribed in black ink on the underside of the beltbehind the tab, aluminum receiving clip on the left end, the clip secured by the strap where it wraps around to the reverse and is stitched in place, the clip maker marked "C.T.D." (Christian Theodor Dicke, Ludenscheid) and marked "D.R.G.M." (Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster), the belt measuring 44 mm x 1,090 mm. Exhibiting very light wear and crazing. Second belt is fabricated from a thin leather with a smooth finished black upper, raw underside, a tab stitched in place on the underside with a smooth finished black upper on the right end, the tab with six rows of two holes each for length adjustment, magnetic silvered receiving clip dual riveted in place on the left end, the belt measuring 42 mm x 880 mm. Exhibiting crazing on the upper, along with surface wear and crazing on the tab. Together, better than very fine.
Footnote: From the collection of approximately 900 German buckles accumulated by John R. Angolia, who start collecting buckles, belts and brocades from 1944 until around 1990; most of the buckles were obtained from the American and German veterans; most of these buckles present a core of Angolia’s book “Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich”, published in 2001.
