(เครื่องราชอิสริยาภรณ์อันมีศักดิ์รามาธิบดี). Instituted on April 6 1918 by King Vajiravudh Rama VI. A set comprising a sash badge featuring a silver gilt decoration with a depiction of King Ramathibodi I overcoming a Khmer warrior, on a background of dark purple enamel, the reverse presents the royal monogram on a white enamel field with a blue enamel exterior ring, the badge set in a four armed star and suspended by an elongated ring, 50.1mm (w) x 67.05mm (h – inclusive of integral ring), weighs 51.3 grams, light enamel wear to exterior, heavily gilded, in extremely fine condition.
Accompanied by the breast star of the order comprising an eight point silver star with clusters of nine smooth rays, the superimposed medallion with the same imagery to match the badge with eight singular extending rays meeting each knee of the star, the reverse presents a single pin assembly with an enamelled medallion featuring the royal monogram on white enamels with a thick blue enamel border, numerous rivets present on the reverse, Thai mark on the pin, measures 75.8mm (w) x 82.4mm (h), weighs 66.2 grams, enamels intact, dark patina in the rays, in extremely fine condition.
Footnote: The Order was founded by King Vajiravudh Rama VI as a military honour, and it is conferred upon Officers and enlisted men within the Armed Forces for meritorious service in peace and wartime.
