(Khrueang Ratcha-itsariyaphon An Mi Kiattiyot Ying Mongkut Thai). Instituted December 29th, 1869. (c. 1960 issue). A fine example of a cased Most Noble Order of the Crown of Thailand, III. Class Commander, constructed of silvered and gilded bronze with red enamels, the obverse consisting of a leaf with eight petals with a starburst pattern around the exterior of the badge, with a central Thai crown within dark blue and bright red enamels, suspended from a swivel Thai Crown using its period original neck ribbon, measuring 57.2 mm (w) x 61.1 mm (l), weighing 50.78 grams.
Accompanied by its presentation case of issue, constructed of a lightweight wooden core, with a dark blue felted fabric exterior, the exterior of the lid with a gilded bronze winged and crowned figurine, with a padded off-white and golden embossed satin blended fabric on the inside of the lid, with a functional exterior metal hinge, intact fabric hinge cover, and functional exterior metal clasp closure, measuring 84 mm (w) x 155 mm (l).
A beautiful cased example of this award, in overall extremely fine condition.
