(Kungliga Nordstjärneorden). Instituted in 1748. Of typical high quality Swedish manufacture, silver gilt neck badge of the order featuring a white enamelled Maltese cross with ball finials, crown in each quadrant, the obverse medallion featured a blue enamelled field with a while enamelled five point star in the center and the motto NESCIT OCCASUM around the edge, the reverse medallion mirrors the obverse, the badge is surmounted by a large, highly detailed silver gilt and enamel crown, measures 54.92 mm (w) x 80.23 (h – inclusive of crown suspension), weighs 33.9 grams, unmarked on correct black neck ribbon; Accompanied by the Star of the order, in silver presenting a four armed Maltese cross with perforated rays and multifaceted rays in each quadrant, a five point silver star is superimposed in the center, the reverse presents a single pin assembly, measures 71.88 (w) x 72.21 mm (h), well hallmarked on star under pin, CFC denoting Carlman manufacture, with three crowns mark denotes Swedish manufacture, an S National control mark indicating a minimum silver standard of .800, and R7 mark, 53.1 grams, with pleasing tone, better than extremely fine. Both housed in case of issue, red leather wrapped, wooden framed with half red velvet medal bad as standard with Swedish cases, marked Carlman on silver interior lid, very fine.
