Spain, Fascist State. An Order of the Cross of St. Raymond of Penafort & an Order of St. Hermenegildo

A Royal and Military Order of St. Hermenegildo, Knight, of silver gilt a white enamel cross, the obverse medallion featuring an equestrian on a blue background, surrounded by a white enamel ring with the inscription PREMIO A LA CONSTANCIA MILITAR, the reverse medallion presents the F.VIII in a light blue ring, measures 37.75mm (w) x 41.65mm (h – inclusive of integral ring), missing the crown suspension, enamels intact, in near very fine condition.

An Order of the Cross of St. Raymond of Penafort, Cross, in silver gilt featuring a white enamel Maltese Cross with ball finials bearing the inscription S RAYMUNDUS / PENNAFORTI (St. Raymond of Peñafort) on the 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock arms, surrounded by a crossed laces in each quadrant, obverse depicting an enamelled red, blue, yellow, and brown figure of St. Peñafort, with beneath enamelled blue ribbon inscribed by Latin inscription IN JURE MERITA, the reverse is plain with two large rivets, measures 48.7mm (w) x 54.8mm (h – inclusive of integral ring atop sword hilt), enamels intact, light wear and residue on the arms, in very fine condition.
