(Orden de Cisneros). Instituted in 1944. Two-piece construction, in bronze gilt with red and black enamels, unmarked, measuring 50.2 mm (w) x 55 mm (h) inclusive of its laterally-pierced ball suspension, original ribbon, on a traditional Spanish-style horizontal hanger with pinback, intact enamels, very light contact, near extremely fine.

Footnote: The Order of Cisneros was instituted by General Francisco Franco on March 8, 1944. It was created after the end of the Spanish Civil War, to reward those who served Franco during the war, and who collaborated on the establishment of the new government. It was awarded in four grades: Collar, Grand Cross, Dignitary, Knight, along with a Gold Grade Medal.
