In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Both are black and white, on a standard photographic paper, with a gloss finish. First photo illustrating the German Luftschiff [airship] Zeppelin (LZ87) emerging from an aerodrome, with multiple figures towing it below, inscribed in handwritten blue ink "1st Zep shot down over England - from Spich Germany / 7 Sqd. Army of Occupation Airdrome" on the reverse, 86 mm x 145 mm, light soiling overall and edge creasing. Second photo illustrating the same aerodrome, with its doors partially open, inscribed "Rauchen verboten" (No Smoking) on the walls on either side of the doors, unmarked on the reverse, 96 mm x 118 mm. Both are slightly curled, very fine and extremely fine, respectively.
Footnote: The first flight of the German P Class Luftschiff Zeppelin (LZ87) took place on December 6, 1915. During its existence, it participated in two attacks on Ramsgate and Margate, dropping a total 3,000 kg (6,600 lb) of bombs. In July 1916, it was handed over to the German Navy, where it performed sixteen reconnaissance missions around the Baltic Sea. It was later used as a school ship and was decommissioned in July 1917.
