Third Class with Swords, in silver gilt and enamels, 41.5mm (x90.0mm including crown suspension), unmarked, but of typical Huguenin Frères manufacture, with rare Second Award (laurel leaf attached to suspension loop), of excellent quality manufacture in extremely fine condition.
Footnote: White Eagle 3d class with swords by Huguenin Frères is very scarce, while the 2nd award type with laurel leaf is extremely rare. This order comes with large portrait picture of General Pantelija Jurišić, where is clearly visible he is wearing the badge.
Footnote: General Pantelija Jurišić - Panta (Crna Bara , 26 June 1881 - Belgrade , 28 December 1960 ) was a senior officer of the Serbian Army General Staff of the Army of Yugoslavia. Born in Bari in Italy from father Zivko and mother Mara. He finished high school in Belgrade and then 30th Lower class school from 1897 to 1899 and the 13th class of the College from 1903 to 1905 the Military Academy in Belgrade. He continued his studies in Germany in 1906, completed his preparation for the general-staff branch from 1910 to 1912.
In the rank of a General staff captain promoted in 1910. The colonel October 1, 1915, and in 1923 Division General; finally, to Army General in February 1936.
He was a platoon commander Morava artillery regiment in Nis from 1905 to 1911, then Deputy Chief of Staff of the Drina divisional areas in Valjevo 1912th year. In the Balkan wars was the Assistant Chief of Staff of the Drina Division second calls on the staff Primorksog kora under Scutari , then Chief of Staff of the Drina Division 1. Calls on the Battle of Bregalnica . After demobilization in 1913 he was the Chief of Staff of the Drina divisional areas in Valjevo.
During the First World War was the Chief of Staff of the Drina Division 1. Calls for the Chief of Staff of the Morava Division 1st calls 1916-1917, Commander Cavalry Brigade (1917), Chief of Staff of the Morava Division.
After the war, among other things, was the chief of the Main Intelligence Department of the General Staff from April 1921 and taught tactics at the Lower School of the Military Academy until the end of 1921, he was military attaché in Italy from 1921 to 1923, divisional commander of the Danube area in Belgrade in 1929, commander of the 4th army District in Zagreb from February 1936. He retired in March 1940. In April War was reactivated from the reserve composition of the military and appointed commander of the 4th Army Region War in Zagreb. He was captured by the Croatian Ustasha unit in Petrinja on 10th April 1941. Handed over to the German army and taken prisoner in the camps Warburg and Nuremberg. Due to illness he was released in the summer of 1942, and returned to Belgrade. He has received numerous awards including Orden Karađorđeve Stars with swords; Order of St. Sava; Order of White Eagle; Order of the Yugoslav Crown; British Order of St. Michael and St. George; Italian Order of Savoy; Romanian Order of the Crown, and many others. He married Anne, daughter of Mikhail Jovanovic, state counselor. They had a daughter, Olga (1909) and son Michael (1922-1991). He died in Belgrade in 1960 and was buried in the New Cemetery.
