Constructed of silver with multi-coloured enamels, consisting of a St. Andrew’s Cross (Saltire), the obverse with blue enameled arms, overlaid by a central depiction of St. Andrew kneeling in prayer, topped by a crown, with a blue enameled banner emanating from the lower edge bearing Serbian Cyrillic inscriptions, the reverse with four visible rivets securing the saint and crown in position, the latter topped by an integral loop and suspension ring retaining a period original tri-fold ribbon with a horizontal pinback, maker marked “SPINK & SON LTD., 5. KING ST.” (indicating post-1927 manufacture), measuring 29.75 mm (w) x 45.48 mm (h), weighing 16.0 grams (inclusive of ribbon), accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of a wooden frame with a faux dark blue leather exterior liner, the interior with a padded white satin lid liner and intact hinge cover, the former bearing an additional Spink & Son maker’s mark, with a fitted off-white velvet medal bed, closing with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release, measuring 78 mm (w) x 115 mm (l) x 20 mm (h), demonstrating minor flecking and surface chipping to the enamels of the award, a scarce decoration in overall near extremely fine condition.
