1. Medal for the Defence of Sebastopol 1941-1942 (Медаль «За оборону Севастополя»). Instituted in 1942. In brass, measuring 32.5 mm (w) x 37.5 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, greening evident in the recessed areas from cleaning, exhibiting contact marks and spotting overall, original ribbon, mounted to a five-sided brass suspension with pinback.
2. Medal for the Defence of Odessa 1942 (Медаль за оборону Одессы). Instituted in 1942. In brass, measuring 32 mm (w) x 37.3 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, exhibiting scattered gilt wear and contact marks, original ribbon, mounted to a five-sided brass suspension with pinback.
Accompanied by the Award Documents for both medals, named to Captain Adolf Semyonovich Polner, each with official stamps and dated April 16, 1943, printed in red and black inks, on a white paper stock, measuring 145 mm (w) x 218 mm (h) each, exhibiting fold marks and tears. Fine.

1. The Medal for the Defence of Sevastopol was instituted on December 22, 1942 and awarded to service and civilian personnel who participated in the Defence of Sevastopol between November 5, 1941 and July 4, 1942.
2. The Medal for the Defence of Odessa was instituted on December 22, 1942 and awarded to all those who participated in the Defence of Odessa between August 10 and October 16 of 1942.
