Russia, Soviet Union. A Rare Bauman Moscow Higher Technical School Graduation Badge

 Constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a blue enameled banner bearing gilt initials “МВТУ” (Московским высшим техническим училищем, or Moscow Higher Technical School), surrounding a silvered and blue enameled field overlaid by a crossed hammer and wrench defaced by a Soviet coat of arms, the reverse with four visible rivets securing the obverse features in position, with a threaded screw post retaining an original factory-marked nut, measuring 26 mm (w) x 40 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
