Russia, Soviet Union. A Mixed Lot of Badges

A mixed lot of badges, including:

1. An Order of the Red Star, Type II, constructed of silver with enamels, consisting of a five-pointed star, the obverse with red enameled arms, bearing a central medallion overlaid by a Red Army soldier in full uniform and clutching a rifle, surrounded by a border bearing a raised Russian Cyrillic inscription of “ПРОЛЕТАРИИ ВСЕХ СТРАН, СОЕДИНЯЙТЕСЬ!” (“WORKERS OF THE WORLD, UNITE!”), joined together at the bottom by initials “СССР” (“USSR”), situated above a hammer and sickle the reverse with a central threaded lug retaining an original backplate, etched with an issue number that appears to read “3583432”, maker marked “МОНЕТНЫЙ ДВОР” for the Soviet Mint, measuring 48.40 mm (w) x 46.77 mm (h), weighing 43.2 grams (inclusive of backplate), in extremely fine condition.

2. An Order of the Patriotic War, Type III, the obverse consisting of a five-pointed radiant starburst, overlaid by a red enameled five-pointed star, overlaid by a sickle and hammer, surrounded by a white enameled ring bearing a gilt inscription of “ОТЕЧЕСТВЕННАЯ ВОЙНА” (“PATRIOTIC WAR”), with a crossed sabre and rifle piercing the centrepiece, the reverse with a threaded screwpost retaining an original backplate, bearing a hand-engraved award number of “6903645”, maker marked “МОНЕТНЫЙ ДВОР” for the Soviet Mint, measuring 44.52 mm (w) x 46.49 mm (h), weighing 42.0 grams (inclusive of backplate), in extremely fine condition.

3. An Excellent Tank Crew Badge, constructed of gilded brass with multi-coloured enamels, the reverse with a central threaded screwpost retaining an original backplate, maker marked “МОНЕТНЫЙ ДВОР” for the Soviet Mint, measuring 35.70 mm (w) x 46.06 mm (h), weighing 16.2 grams (inclusive of backplate), in better than very fine condition.

4. A Vladimir Lenin patriotic badge, constructed of gilded and silvered brass,  the reverse with a central threaded screwpost retaining an original backplate, with a St. Petersburg mark, measuring 38.98 mm (w) x 48.35 mm (h), weighing 41.2 grams (inclusive of backplate).
