A medal and insignia grouping with award certificates to Vasily Nakonechny, consisting of:
1. A Medal “For Courage”. A circular silver medal with a raised rim on both the obverse and reverse, the obverse depicting three aircraft flying in the sky with a T-35 tank below, inscribed “ For Courage” and “CCCP” in Russian script, the reverse is plain, suspended from a pentagonal ribbon, with a metal core, and a horizontal pinback, measuring 37.0 mm in diameter. Accompanied by its award certificate booklet, with a textured red exterior cover and space on the inside for the recipient name and award bestowal date of December 3rd, 1967, measuring 76 mm (w) x 108 mm (l). Also accompanied by an invitation to Vasily P. Nakonechny to the local Military District Office to receive the medal “For Courage”, also dated December 3rd, 1967, measuring 208 mm (w) x 150 mm (l).
2. A Jubilee Medal for “50 Years of the Armed Forces of the USSR”. A circular gilded brass medal, the obverse depicting a five pointed red enameled star with two soldiers facing left superimposed on the star, dated “1918” and “1968”, the reverse bears a broad five-pointed star bearing a Hammer and a Plough, inscribed “Fifty Years Armed Forces USSR”, on a pentagonal ribbon with a hard aluminum core and a horizontal pinback, measuring 37.0 mm in diameter. Accompanied by its award certificate booklet, dated September 13th, 1968, measuring 79 mm (w) x 108 mm (l).
3. A badge “To the Hero of the Revolutionary Movement 1917-1918”, constructed of silvered bronze and enamels, the reverse named to “Nakonechny V.P” and numbered “4486”, with a threaded screw post with a veteran-made red cloth rosette with a paper core, and a matching screw plate, measuring 38.5 mm (w) x 48.2 mm (l).
A grouping of a Hero of the Revolutionary Movement medal, a Courage medal, and a 50th Jubilee medal, accompanied by their award certificates, in overall near very fine condition.
