(За восстановление угольных шахт Донбасса). Instituted September 10th, 1947. A circular gilded brass medal, the obverse with an image of a restored mine with a leftward-facing helmeted miner carrying a jackhammer on his right shoulder, circumscribed “For the Restoration of the Donbas Coal Mines” with a five pointed star and laurels at the base, the reverse bears the Hammer and Sickle over the inscription “Labour in the USSR - A Matter of Honour” in Russian script, suspended from a pentagonal mounted ribbon with an aluminum core and horizontal pinback, measuring 32.3 mm in diameter, near extremely fine condition.
