(Медаль за войну 1812 г., серебряная медаль за военный персонал). Instituted in 1813. In silver, obverse illustrating the all-seeing eye on a triangular field, backed by radiating rays, inscribed in Russian "1812 ГОДЪ" (Year 1812) below, reverse inscribed in Russian "НЕ НАМЪ, НЕ НАМЪ, А ИМЕНИ ТВОЕМУ." (Not Unto Us, Not Unto Us, But in Thy Name), measuring 28.5 mm in diameter, bruised, edge nicks, contact marks, replacement ribbon, very fine.
Footnote: The Silver Grade Medal was instituted on February 5, 1813 and the Bronze Grade Medal on August 30, 1814 during the reign of Tsar Alexander I, to commemorate the end of the campaign on Russian soil against Napoleonic forces. The Silver Grade Medal was awarded to military personnel of all ranks, and the Bronze Grade Medal to noblemen and merchants for their active participation during the War of 1812.
