(Roter Adler Orden Kreuz IV. Klasse mit Etui). Instituted 12 June 1792 by King Friedrich Wilhelm II. (1864-1918 issue). Constructed of silver with multi-coloured enamels, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms, the obverse overlaid by a white enameled medallion bearing a hand-painted Prussian imperial eagle, the reverse bearing a central raised monogram of King Friedrich Wilhelm II, the twelve o’clock arm topped by an eyelet and suspension ring retaining a period original ribbon, the six o’clock arm maker marked with the logo of Neuhaus & Sohn, Berlin, measuring 38.74 mm (w) x 42.50 mm (h), weighing 17.4 grams, accompanied by its original presentation case, constructed of a pressed card stock frame with a faux red leather exterior liner, the interior with a white satin lid liner and fitted black velvet medal bed, closing with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release, unmarked, measuring 65 mm (w) x 55 mm (l) x 20 mm (h) and secreted within a scarcely-encountered original card stock box of issue, in overall extremely fine condition.
