Description

Instituted in 1913. Five-pointed silver star, each arm made of five quills, three-quilled arms in each corner, obverse center bearing a white enameled five-pointed star and a red-enameled centerpiece with an Arabic inscription, surrounded by a green enameled wreath, reverse hallmark of a boar’s head and ?, 77mm (h) x 74.8 mm (w), very fine condition.

Footnote: The Order of the Ouissam Alaouite was instituted on 11 January 1913 and is awarded by the King of Morocco upon those civilians and military officers who have displayed heroism in combat or have contributed meritorious service to the Moroccan state.
