Hardcover, colour images on both the glossed front and back covers, entitled "Orders, Medals and Insignia of Montenegro" by Siniša Pogačić, the prices, photographs and design by Miljan Marković and Borna Barac, the illustrations by Darko Pavlović, published in 1991, ISBN 953-6388-06-5. The book is dedicated to General Sarkotić of Lovćen, the first few pages explaining his place in history. It begins with an Introduction, followed by a History of Montenegro and its armies and the rules governing it. The book is divided into two basic sections: 1. The Orders and Medals of the State of Montenegro (illustrating the various medals and orders, stating their purposes, descriptions, metal content, sizes, in a catalogue-style with prices at the time of publication); 2. The Insignia of the State of Montenegro (illustrating various military insignia, badges and achievement awards, during the reign of Prince Danilo I (1851-1860), of Prince Nikola I (1851-1860), and of KIng Nikola I (1851-1860), following a similar catalogue-style format). It concludes with a Biography of the author, Siniša Pogačić, a List of References, along with three pages of advertisements. The book contains 120 pages of text in English and Croatian, complemented by multiple black and white or colour photographs, in addition to colourized line drawings, with key letters, printed in four-colour inks, on a gloss paper stock, measuring 170 mm (w) x 240 mm (h) x 11 mm (d). Near extremely fine.
