Malaysia, Federation. An Order of the Defender of the Realm, Commander's Star, by Garrad & Co. Ltd

(Darjah Yang Mulia Pangkuan Negara). Instituted August 6th, 1958. Consisting of a silver breast star with six main points, and six smaller points, with a multi faceted surface, the obverse with a central white enameled disc bearing the Royal Malay Crown with red enamels, inscribed “Di-Peliharakan Allah” (By the Grace of Allah) in capitalized letters above and “Pangkuan Negara” (Defender of the Realm) in capitalized letters below, the reverse is plain, with a raised barrel hinge, tapered vertical pinback, and broad wire catch, hallmarked “G & Co. Ld” for manufacture by “Garrad & Co. Ltd”, along with London 1965 hallmarks, measuring 71.6 mm (l) x 82.2 mm (w), weighing 88.44 grams, in near very fine condition.
