1. A War Merit Cross, constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée pebbled arms, the overse bearing a central raised Lippe rose situated within a circular laurel leaf wreath, the six o’clock arm bearing an institution date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm bearing a monogram of Prince Leopold IV, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR AUSZEICHNUNG IM KRIEGE” (“FOR DISTINCTION IN WAR”), unmarked, measuring 41.07 mm (w) x 44.76 mm (h), weighing 18.1 grams, demonstrating moderate tarnishing, in near extremely fine condition.
2. A War Honour Medal for Non-Combatants, constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon stitched into a bar, the obverse bearing a raised Cross Patée with pebbled arms, bearing a central Lippe rose situated within a circular laurel leaf wreath, the six o’clock arm bearing a date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm bearing a monogram of Prince Leopold IV, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “TREU BEWÄHRT IN SCHWERER ZEIT 1915” (“PROVEN FAITHFUL IN DIFFICULT TIMES 1915”), unmarked, measuring 33.41 mm (w) x 37.13 mm (h), weighing 16.6 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in extremely fine condition.
