In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Instituted in 1879. Multi-piece construction, insignia in silver gilt with blue, white, red and green enamels, French-made, hallmarked with a boar's head on the reverse of the ball finial at 12 o'clock and on the obverse of the loop, insignia placed on both sides, each of which is mounted to a five-pointed star with ball finials, mounted to a five-pointed silver gilt star base, with seven smooth emanating rays in each quadrant, measuring 62.5 mm (w) x 104 mm (h) inclusive of its wreath and integral ring suspension, chipping, crazing and loss evident in the white enamels on multiple star points on both sides, the junction of the badge to the wreath having been crimp-closed likely due to having been loose at one point, fine.
Footnote: The Humane Order of African Redemption was instituted on January 13, 1879 during the presidency of Anthony W. Gardiner. It is presented by the government of Liberia and awarded for humanitarian work in Liberia, for acts supporting and assisting the Liberian nation and to individuals who have played a prominent role in the emancipation of African Americans and the pursuit of equal rights, in three grades: I Class Grand Commander, II Class Knight Commander and III Class Officer. The Order replaced the older Liberian "Lone Star Medal".
