金鵄勲章, Kinshi Kunshō. Institution Date: February 12, 1890 by Emperor Meiji.
Three Orders of the Golden Kite, 6th Class Badges in silver bearing an open winged falcon a top of the badge, with an unmarked reverse, all measuring at 43mm (w) x 57mm (h-inclusive of the suspension ball), each with period ribbon with hook and eye, and in extremely fine condition. One Order of the Golden Kite, IIII Class Badge, a multi piece construction in silver with enamels on period ribbon with hook and eye, measuring at 43mm (w) x 46mm (h), with minor wear to enamels, in very fine condition.
Footnote: This Order was conferred upon military personnel of the Imperial Army and Navy in recognition of exceptional bravery and leadership during battle. It may be awarded posthumously. This Order was discontinued in 1947.
