(Ordine della Corona d’Italia). Instituted on February 20th, 1868. An Order of the Crown of Italy, Grand Cross Star, consisting of: in silver, an eight point star featuring clusters of alternating smooth and faceted rays, the obverse medallion featuring a Lombardy crown on a blue enamelled field, surrounded by a white ring inscribed VICT. EMMAN. II . REX. ITALIAE. MDCCCLXVI, encircled by a ring of gilt facets, surmounted by a black enamelled eagle on the 12 o’clock arm, reverse presenting a vertical pin suspension, the cartouche of COMM. G. PEREZ, measures 88.3 mm (w) x 87.3 mm (h), weighs 65.37 grams, enamels intact, hinge and clasp functional, in extremely fine condition.

Contained in an Italian case, red exterior with crowned Victor Emmanuel monogram on the lid, the interior lid marked CRAVANZOLA Succ. E. Gardino Gioielleria ROMA, a black velvet medal bed, measures 110mm (w) x 110 mm (h) x 35mm (d), light wear, mismatched to star maker, remains in very fine condition.
