MERLI ROMA", base lined in maroon felt and incorporating a raised platform with a recessed medal bed in maroon felt, push release, measuring 104 mm in width x 190 mm in height x 37 mm in depth, exhibiting scuffing, wear and soiling on the exterior, along with light soiling on the white satin of the inside lid.

Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and of Malta, Commander Case: hardshelled, wooden-framed, red pebbled exterior on five sides, thatched-look bottom, lid bearing the Order's insignia, inside lid lined in white satin, padded, exhibiting the impression of the award and maker marked "A.G. MERLI ROMA", base lined in maroon felt and incorporating a raised platform with a recessed medal bed in deep maroon felt, push release, measuring 76.3 mm in width x 147 mm in height x 29 mm in depth, exhibiting wear and soiling on the exterior, along with weakness on the hinged area.

UMBERTO I 338.339.540 ROMA", white cardboard insert placed within the base and housing a black felt recessed medal bed, measuring 79 mm in width x 134.5 mm in height x 23 in depth, the exterior exhibiting extensive wear and soiling, sunning on the lid, with surface rust and greening evident on the bronze gilt fixture and push release, the lid and base experiencing separation, the interior with soiling in the base.
