(Ordine dei Santi Maurizio e Lazzaro). Instituted September 16th, 1572. (c. 1890 issue). A cased two-piece set, consisting of:
1. A neck badge in 18kt Gold of exceptional jeweler’s quality, consisting of a white enameled Shamrock Cross with green enameled fans in the quadrants between the arms of the cross, suspended of a finely detailed hollow Gold crown, pierced ball suspension and dual swivel rings from its period original full length neck ribbon, marked “Musy - Turino” as well as the logo of this top Italian jeweler, measuring 54.0 mm (w) x 86.2 mm (l), weighing 22.59 grams.
2. A breast star in silver, 18kt Gold, and fine quality white and green enamels, consisting of a four-pointed star with multiple quills between the arms of the cross, the obverse with a white enameled Shamrock Cross with green enameled fans in the quadrants between the arms of the cross, the reverse plain, with a raised barrel hinge, vertical pinback, and broad wire catch, marked “Musy Padre E Figlio of Torino”, measuring 74.6 mm (w) x 74.2 mm (l), weighing 34.95 grams.
3. Accompanied by its presentation case, constructed of a lightweight wooden core, green faux leather exterior, the exterior of the case embossed “V.E.” and a Royal Crown in golden ink, with dual exterior metal hinges and dual swivel clasps for closure, the interior of the lid with a cotton-silk blended fabric, with a recessed pale green felted medal bed for secure placement of these exceptional quality awards, measuring 160 mm (w) x 147 mm (l).
