International. A Medieval Knight Statue, c.1930

A finely-detailed medieval knight statue, constructed of multiple panels of toned magnetic steel secured together with hobnails, featuring a helmet with a retractable visor, the torso featuring cuirass and plackart overlaid by a stylized coat of arms, with wide flaring shoulder guards transitioning into cascading armpieces which culminate in gauntlets, the shoulders and arms notably fully articulated and poseable, the waist with a four-piece cascading fauld, completing with multi-piece leg guards and sabatons, the reverse featuring padded brown cotton pants simulating the wearer’s lower half, affixed to a dark brown lacquered wooden pedestal, unmarked, measuring 42 cm om total height, demonstrating a consistent patina throughout the base metal, a fine display piece produced c. 1930 in extremely fine condition.
