Hungary, Kingdom. A Rare NSZK Personnel Sleeve Insignia

Constructed of zink, the obverse consisting of a ribbed shield, bearing a raised Arrow Cross overlaid by a skull and crossbones, situated above an initials “NSZK” for Nemzeti Számonkérés Központja (National Reckoning Centre), perforated with three holes for sew-on attachment, unmarked, measuring 43 mm (w) x 57 mm (h), demonstrating moderate surface oxidation throughout, an exceptionally rare insignia in better than very fine condition.

Footnote: The NSZK was established on 20 November 1944 following the rise to power of the Arrow Cross Party. It was tasked with monitoring and neutralizing threats to the goals of the movement and wider Axis Powers, with victims including both Jews and non-Jewish Hungarians.
