This is a high quality, wartime example of a Őrnagy's tunic, likely private purchase, made of thick cotton blend in standard olive green, featuring a five button frontal closure, with all matching buttons as originally affixed, with two bakalite buttons for internal belt, four scalloped pockets each with their corresponding buttons, each cuff with an additional three matching buttons, collar insignia exhibiting blue felt base, gilt bullion outline, as well as single star atop a gilt base denoting the rank of Őrnagy (Major), standard dual braid shoulder boards, interior with possible museum accession mark of 81.28.2., with minimal wear other than standard wear patterns on buttons and collar and underarms, a good wartime example, very fine.
