Description

(Flakhelfer Wehrpaß). Constructed of a field-grey card stock binding with 56 paginated interior pages lightly filled with handwritten and stamped entries, retaining a certified studio portrait of the bearer in a Deutsches Jungvolk (DJ) uniform, measuring 11 cm (w) x 15 cm (h), an unusual example in extremely fine condition.

Footnote: Karl Schroth was born on 14 October 1928 in the vicinity of Limburg, Hesse. He served in the Deutsches Jungvolk (DJ) and HJ before obtaining employment in a chemical factory. He entered Wehrmacht service as a conscript on 13 November 1944 at the age of 16, and listed his next-of-kin as his father, Heinrich. Schroth was assigned to Schwere Flak-Ersatz-Abteilung 64 (Kassel) as a Flakhelfer (Flak Helper).
