Constructed of silvered tombak, consisting of a Maltese Cross, the obverse with pebbled arms, bearing a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with a barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a flattened and rounded catch, the pinback maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “50” for Karl Gschiermeister, Vienna, measuring 48.22 mm (w) x 47.84 mm (h), weighing 19.9 grams, accompanied by its original presentation case, constructed of a rigid card stock frame with a faux black leather liner, the lid bearing a silvered depiction of the award, the interior with a white rayon lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a slotted black felt medal bed, closing with a functional spring catch with exterior stud release, measuring 70 mm (w) x 70 mm (l) x 20 mm (h), a matching set in extremely fine condition.
