In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Wehrmacht Stahlhelm-Tarnbezug). An extremely well-preserved Wehrmacht (Heer and Luftwaffe Field Divisions) camouflage helmet cover, constructed of multiple panels of cotton duck cloth. The exterior is dyed in a classic Sumpftarnmuster (marsh/swamp pattern) camouflage, with a mottle consisting of a primarily olive-drab base overlaid by irregular splotches of brown and dark green with blurred edges, interspersed with dark green splinters. Four loops of identical cloth are stitched onto the front for the inclusion of foliage or addition or other accessories. A hollow channel around the edge accommodates a period original drawstring for flush closure over an accompanying helmet. The interior is fully encompassed by a multi-piece dark grey cotton duck liner. Stitched onto the liner is a white cotton label bearing a stamped owner’s name of “RIEPE, EGON”. Otherwise unmarked, the cover measures approximately 36 cm (l) x 20 cm (h). Demonstrating no notable damage or wear with the exception of a small hand-stitched repair to the back (adjacent to the label stitching) and a small spot of mothing, this rare helmet cover remains in an extremely fine condition.
