Germany, Wehrmacht. A Rare Free Arabian Legion Sleeve Insignia, with Certificate of Authenticity

(Ärmelschild der arabische Freiwilligen in der Wehrmacht). Constructed of field-grey rayon, the obverse bearing a machine-embroidered pan-Arab flag featuring green, white, and black bars with a red border overlaid by dual white stars, situated within inscriptions of “FREE ARABIA” in both Arabic and German, unmarked, measuring 65 mm (w) x 100 mm (h), demonstrating minor material fatigue consistent with age and field wear, a rare and desirable example removed from the uniform of a member of noted foreign volunteer unit in near extremely fine condition; accompanied by a certificate of authenticity issued by Helmut Weitze and dated 3 February 2022.
