The front of these breeches features a single diagonal-slit pocket at waist height per side, secured shut via a single button (missmatched). There is an additional small horizontal-slit watch fob pocket on the right side immediately to the left of the diagonal slit pocket, secured shut via a flap and a single grey bakelite button. The central front opening slit is secured shut via 6 vertically mounted buttons (one missmatched) that are met by reinforced button-holes on the opposing side. The inside is unlined, with the exception of the beltline and the insides of the pockets, which are lined with off-white rayon and cotton fabric. The inside seam has a multitude of stamps including “80, 94, 114, 106” and the date stamp “F44” in blueish-purple ink. The exterior of these breeches are lined in the rear along the seat with soft and supple grey-coloured leather, covering the buttocks and reaching down to the cuffs. Attached to the outside of the seam towards the rear are a series of straps decorated with round aluminum buttons for the attachment of optional suspenders. Each pant leg has a 24 cm long vertical slit ordained with four non-magnetic metal buttons meeting reinforced buttonholes on the opposing side. This pair of rider’s breeches measures 43 cm across the waist (seam to seam), with an inseam of 78 cm, and an overall length of 108 cm. This is a fine pair of Wehrmacht breeches, with light material fatigue in the fabric from wear, but free of staining or mothing of any kind, in better than fine condition.
