(Papiere). A mixed lot of documents, including:

1. A group of paperwork from the estate of Field Marshal Ferdinand Schörner, including a housing information cad, constructed of off-white paper with black ink, indicating that Schörner was a resident of 1 Menzinger Straße, Munich, with a stamped date of 1 December 1971, measuring 15 cm (w) x 10.5 cm (h) and accompanied by its original envelope, in extremely fine condition; a typewritten telegram from Schörner to a Detmold resident, featuring a brief inscription excusing himself for being slow to reply owing to large amounts of correspondence received and closing with his handwritten signature, dated 1964 and measuring 15 cm (w) x 10.5 cm (h), retaining its original envelope with Schörner’s letterhead, in extremely fine condition, and; Schörner’s death notice, presented on white paper stock and issued in the name of his children and grandchildren follow his passing on 2 July 1973, measuring 17.5 cm (w) x 22 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.

2. A short handwritten letter from Field Marshal Wilhelm List to a “Herr Möller”, dated 25 November 1953 and featuring List’s letterhead, measuring 15 cm (w) x 21 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.

3. A typewritten letter from Philipp Freiherr von Boeselager, a Wehrmacht and Bundeswehr Officer, Knight’s Cross recipient, and the penultimate surviving participant of the 20 July plot, dated 26 September 2007 and addressed to a “Herr Jäger”, thanking him for kind wishes extended on von Boeselager’s birthday but declining to send a photograph, closing with von Boeselager’s handwritten signature, measuring 21 cm (w) x 15 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.

4. A lot of six award documents to Hermann Bräuninger, including one for a 1939 Iron Cross II Class, named to Bräuninger as a Leutnant of Infanterie-Regiment 40, issued in the field on 31 October 1939, certified by the handwritten signature of Generalleutnant Friedrich Bergmann (German Cross in Gold 19 December 1941), measuring 14 cm (w) x 20 cm (h), in extremely fine condition; one a 1939 Iron Cross I Class,named to Bräuninger as a Leutnant of Infanterie-Regiment 40, issued in the field on 4 September 1940, certified by the handwritten signature of Generalleutnant Friedrich Bergmann, measuring 14 cm (w) x 20 cm (h), in extremely fine condition; one for an Eastern Front Medal, named to Bräuninger as a Hauptmann of Grenadier-Regiment 436, issued on 10 August 1942, certified by the handwritten signature of an Oberstleutnant and regimental commander, measuring 14 cm (w) x 20 cm (h), in extremely fine condition; one for a Krim Shield, named to Bräuninger as an Oberleutnant on the staff of Grenadier-Regiment 436, issued on 16 December 1942 and certified by the facsimile signature of Generalfeldmarschall Erich von Manstein, measuring 15 cm (w) x 21 cm (h), in extremely fine condition; one for a Black Grade Wound Badge, named to Bräuninger as a Hauptmann of Grenadier-Regiment 436, issued on 19 February 1943 for a single wound suffered on 12 February, certified by the handwritten signature of a Major, measuring 14 cm (w) x 20 cm (h), in near extremely fine condition, and; one for a Knight’s Cross of the Order of the Star of Romania, named to Bräuninger as a member of Infanterie-Regiment 436, issued on 5 January 1943, measuring 22.5 cm (w) x 35 cm (h), in near extremely fine condition; also including a promotion document appointing Bräuninger as a Leutnant of Infanterie-Regiment 40, issued on 10 January 1938 and retroactive to 1 January, certified by the handwritten signature of then-General Wilhelm Keitel, measuring 21 cm (w) x 29.5 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.
