(Abzeichen und Insignien). A mixed lot of badges and insignia, including:
1. A Black Grade Wound Badge, constructed of blackened magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a clip hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked with LDO code “L/16” for Steinhauer & Lück, Lüdenscheid, measuring 37.08 mm (w) x 44.74 mm (h), weighing 11.5 grams, in extremely fine condition.
2. A Silver Grade Wound Badge, constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with an integral hinge and vertical pinback meeting an integral catch, maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “28” for Eugen Schmidthäussler, Pforzheim, measuring 36.68 mm (w) x 44.20 mm (h), weighing 23.7 grams, demonstrating loss of silver finish to the base metal with minor oxidation, in very fine condition.
3. A mis-matched set of Luftwaffe Communications Hauptmann collar tabs, each constructed of brown wool with a rigid card stock core, trimmed with twisted and rolled silver aluminum wire piping, and bearing a silver aluminum wire oak leaf wreath topped by three gulls of identical construction, both unmarked, one measuring 42 mm (w) x 60 mm (l), the other measuring 40 mm (w) x 58 mm (l), both demonstrating minor material fatigue throughout, in uniform-removed and overall very fine condition.
4. A Luftwaffe Reserve Enlisted collar tab, constructed of red wool with a rigid buckram core and trimmed with blue piping, unmarked, measuring 42 mm (w) x 55 mm (l), demonstrating minor material fatigue, in uniform-removed and extremely fine condition.
