Hardcover, purple cloth cover, with an illustration of the Croatian Order of Merit on the front cover, entitled "Orders, Decorations, Medals and Badges of the Third Reich, Volume 2", by David Littlejohn, M.A., A.L.A. and Colonel C.M. Dodkins, C.B.E., D.S.O., designed and illustrated by Roger James Bender, copyrighted in 1973 by the two authors, First Edition, Second Printing in April 1979, printed in the United States of America, published by R. James Bender Publishing of Mountain View, California, ISBN 912138-11-4. The book's content emphasizes Reich-Level and Regional-Level Third Reich decorations, as well as decorations of Axis satellite states and occupied Europe. It begins with a Preface, the book itself divided into seven sections: 1 - Reich-Level Awards Not Included in Volume 1; 2 - Expansion (and Correction) of Information in Volume 1; 3 - Regional and Other Non-Reich-Level Awards; 4 - Tentative or Projected Awards; 5 - Awards of German Racial Communities Outside the Reich (Austria, Hungary, Rumania, Slovakia, Sudetenland, Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, Free City of Danzig); 6 - Awards of Non-German Nazi or Collaborationist Parties of Occupied Europe (Belgium (Wallonie), Belgium (Flanders), Denmark, Holland (Netherlands), Norway, Soviet Union); 7 - Awards of the States of Croatia and Slovakia. The book contains 192 pages of detailed text, line drawings and photographs, printed in black ink, with spot colour added to select line drawings between pages 86 and 128, on a coated white paper stock, measuring 152 mm (w) x 230 mm (h) x 17 mm (d). It exhibits light scuffing on the cover, with sticker residue present on the back cover, the pages within remaining pristine. Near extremely fine.
