In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Nationalsozialistischer Reichskriegerbund Schirmmütze). A well-preserved National Socialist Reich Warriors Association (NSRKB) member’s visor cap, constructed of dark blue wool. It features reinforced side walls which are fully lined on the exterior with a black rayon cap band which is decorated with alternating machine-embroidered mobile swastikas and Kyffhäuser monuments. Pinned onto the peak is an aluminum insignia consisting of an NSRKB eagle, measuring 65 mm (w) x 25 mm (h). Directly below the eagle, the centre of the cap band is pinned with a two-piece aluminum cockade and wreath, measuring 65 mm (w) x 40 mm (h). The lower edge of the cap band is flanked on each side by blackened magnetic metal studs which accommodate an original black leatherette chinstrap, itself adjusted with a functional metal buckle. A protruding vulcanfibre visor completes the exterior features, and is finished in black on both the obverse and reverse. The interior is fully encompassed by a multi-piece blue rayon liner, with an intact transparent plastic moisture guard on the crown covering a silvered NSRKB insignia. The walls are surrounded by a light brown leather sweatband, perforated across the forehead with ventilation holes, which folds down to reveal a NSRKB label, correctly issued for a visor cap, bearing a maker code of “57”. The cap measures approximately 24 cm (w) x 28.5 cm (l) x 13 cm (h). Issues consistent with age and wear are evident, and include some bending of the side walls and crown wire which has distorted the cap’s structure, in addition to minor soiling of the interior. This complete example remains in a better than very fine condition.
