(Ordensschnalle). A medal bar featuring two decorations, including:
1. An Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918 for Combatants, constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with crossed swords piercing the centrepiece, the obverse bearing central wreathed dates “1914-1918”, unmarked, measuring 38.06 mm (w) x 42.40 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
2. A German Red Cross Medal of Honour, constructed of silvered bronze with gilt and multi-coloured enamels, consisting of a Geneva Cross, the obverse with red enameled arms joined through the quadrants by a circular white enameled ring, bearing a central raised gilded and black enameled German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse pebbled and bearing an inscription of “FÜV VERDIENSTE UM DAS DEUTSCHE ROTE KREUZ” (“FOR SERVICE TO THE GERMAN RED CROSS”), unmarked, measuring 39.00 mm in diameter, demonstrating some flecking and surface chipping to the enamels, in better than very fine condition.
Both suspended from a 60 mm-long bar with a magnetic metal core, horizontal pinback, and grey wool liner, unmarked, demonstrating minor soiling to the ribbons, in near extremely fine condition.
