Germany, Third Reich. A Pair of Patriotic Swastika Badges in Silver, British Export Examples

(Abzeichen in Silber). A pair of patriotic badges, including:

1. One constructed of silver, consisting of a swastika, the obverse executed in green tile-style enamels, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, marked “STG.” for sterling silver (925 content), measuring 15 mm (w) x 15 mm (h), weighing 2.3 grams, a British-made example produced during the late 1920s and early 1930s as part of the “good luck fad” and commonly purchased by Germans as patriotic signs, in extremely fine condition.

2. One constructed of silver, consisting of a four-leaf clover, the obverse executed in two-tone green enamels and overlaid by a white swastika bearing silvered arrows over the arms, the reverse with a diagonal pinback, marked “STERLING” and stamped with hallmarks for a Birmingham jeweller, measuring 23 mm (w) x 23 mm (h), weighing 4.1 grams, a similar example of patriotic export jewellery, in near extremely fine condition.
