1. An Anschluss Medal, constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback, the obverse bearing two raised figures, one of which is clutching a flag and the other a length of broken chain, above a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central date of “13. MÄRZ 1938”, circumscribed by an inscription of “EIN VOLK, EIN REICH, EIN FÜHRER” (“ONE PEOPLE, ONE NATION, ONE LEADER”), unmarked, measuring 32.22 mm in diameter, weighing 17.2 grams (inclusive of ribbon), accompanied by its original presentation case, constructed of a pressed card stock frame with a faux red leather exterior liner, the lid bearing a gilt German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the interior with a white rayon lid liner, with a slotted maroon felt medal bed, closing with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release, unmarked, measuring 50 mm (w) x 105 mm (l) x 20 mm (h), demonstrating minor material fatigue throughout the case, in overall near extremely fine condition.
