Germany, Third Reich. A Pair of Cased and Mint Awards for Civil and Occupation Service

1. A Civil Service 25-Year Faithful Service Award, constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms joined through the quadrants by a circular oak leaf wreath, the obverse bearing a black enameled swastika, the reverse bearing an inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE”), unmarked, measuring 40.82 mm (w) x 45.34 mm (h), weighing 21.4 grams, accompanied by its original presentation case, constructed of a rigid card stock frame with a faux red leather exterior liner, the lid bearing a silvered number “25” within a cogwheel, the interior with a red wool lid liner and medal bed, unmarked, measuring 45 mm (w) x 100 mm (l) x 15 mm (h), in near mint condition.

2. A Sudetenland Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing two raised figures, one of which is clutching a flag and the other a length of broken chain, above a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a date of “1. OKTOBER 1938”, circumscribed by an inscription of “EIN VOLK, EIN REICH, EIN FÜHRER” (“ONE PEOPLE, ONE NATION, ONE LEADER”), unmarked, measuring 32.07 mm in diameter, weighing 13.5 grams, accompanied by its original issue package, constructed of beige paper stock, the exterior maker marked “WALTER & HENLEIN, GABLONZ A. N.”, measuring 58 mm (w) x 110 mm (h), in near mint condition.
