Germany, Third Reich. A Mixed Lot of Visor Cap Insignia

(Mützenadler). A mixed lot of visor cap insignia, including:

1. A Heer Braunschweiger Totenkopf insignia, constructed of silvered bronze, the reverse retaining all three attachment prongs, unmarked, measuring 29 mm (w) x 30 mm (h), a quintessential example of a traditions badge worn by personnel of Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 17 and Kavallerie-Regiment 13 in extremely fine condition.

2. A Luftwaffe EM/NCO’s visor cap eagle, constructed of silvered feinzink, the reverse maker marked “W. SCH. U. CO.” for an unidentified manufacturer, measuring 70 mm (w) x 38 mm (h), missing both attachment prongs and demonstrating some loss of finish, in very fine condition.

3. A government eagle, constructed of silvered zink, the reverse retaining one of two attachment prongs, marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and illegible maker code, measuring 55 mm (w) x 38 mm (h), demonstrating near-total loss of finish to the base metal in addition to the missing prong, in very fine condition.
